Construction Manager
As a construction manager, you work with clients to plan and oversee the construction of residential and commercial building projects, or on civil engineering projects such as bridges and railways. You manage resources, people, services and materials to get construction projects completed on time and on budget. Work is onsite at a construction zone. You need to build strong relationships with a variety of people.

A typical day may involve:
- interpreting architectural drawings and documents
- estimating what is needed for a job, including materials, machinery and resources
- coordinating and managing workers and subcontractors
- submitting building plans to local authorities
- purchasing materials and equipment
- consulting with architects, engineers and other relevant professionals
- arranging building inspections
- meeting building legislation requirements and safety and environmental standards

- Certificate IV in Building and Construction
- Associate Degree in Construction Management
